Pine Wood Carbon/MOF: Next-Gen EM Wave Absorbers!
Pine wood–derived carbon combined with metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) is emerging as a powerful next-generation solution for electromagnetic (EM) wave absorption. By transforming sustainable pine wood into porous carbon and integrating it with MOFs, researchers achieve a unique hybrid material with hierarchical porosity, tunable dielectric properties, and enhanced impedance matching. This innovative composite structure enables multiple loss mechanisms—dielectric loss, interfacial polarization, and conductive loss—leading to superior EM wave attenuation across wide frequency ranges. The natural cellular architecture of pine wood provides lightweight characteristics and abundant internal interfaces, while MOFs contribute adjustable microstructures and improved polarization centers.
